"SU is US" and "SU is people". The total number of J. S. S nationwide (Ghana) is 6371. In 2006 new SU Bible Clubs were formed in 109 Junior Secondary Schools nationwide. Now there are SU Bible Clubs in 832 J. S. S. (JHS) representing 13.1% coverage. At the end of 2006 there were 532 SU Groups in Senior Secondary Schools out of national total of 569 S. S. S. (SHS) This represents SU work in 93.5% of all Senior Secondary Schools in Ghana.
FOSUG believes in giving back to SU. It is the culture in Ghana and everywhere to “say thank you to the hands that fed you.” SU is one rare organization that has contributed directly or indirectly to who we are and hope to be in Christ and in this world. So how are we going to support SU? Good question! We are going to do so in prayer, by volunteering, by donating resources and most importantly, financially. And why should we support SU Ghana? SU didn’t end with us, and it’s not going to end anytime soon. More souls need to be reached and sustained. The rallies, camps, conferences, retreat, etc should continue. Others must share in the wonderful experiences we had and are still having in a way contemporary to the changes in our times. It’s a principle that works for all. He who gives receives more than what was given. Let us make it happen for SU Ghana as well. In the same spectrum, when you give to Scripture Union, it will be given back to you – even more. FOSUG is NOT independent from Scripture Union Ghana. Our activities are monitored to ensure continuous compliance with the ethos of SU. All donations received by FOSUG are used in supporting the goals of SU or the specific instructions of the sponsor. |
